With a little bit of a drizzle and chilly temps moms and dads brought the boys and girls downtown for the 32nd Annual Main Street Texarkana Christmas Parade. A large crowd was on hand and a lot of participants, especially considering that the parade had been postponed because of rainy weather.
Due to rescheduling, some planned guests were not able to attend. The camels had a previous engagement for Tuesday, but there were a great many people in the parade. For 2016 the theme was “Letters to Santa” and sure enough, everyone’s favorite elf and his bride were the special guests and the end of the parade.
Great job by all making the video, the KLFI camera team, Fabienne Thrash and Frank Poff, and all of the volunteers that put in the time and effort every year. (A special shout out to all of the city employees that clean up the mess of candy wrappers after the crowd has left.)
