3:05 PM UPDATE: Authorities have given students and staff the all-clear to return to class after an evacuation due to a bomb threat. Nothing suspicious was found during a grid search of the campus. A little after 2:00 pm today an email threat of a bomb on the Texas High School campus led to school officials safely evacuating all students. Authorities are now searching the campus. Please avoid the area.

The Texarkana Arkansas Police Department has awarded two employees with the prestigious Bull Dog Award for outstanding performance above and beyond the call of duty. Detective Shane Kirkland and Domestic Violence Coordinator Jan Lishman were both named for the honor.

Search & Rescue personnel along with multiple agencies continue looking for Robert Eaglin, 53, and Michelle Cullom, 50 of Hooks Texas were reported missing on January 1. They were last seen by a duck hunter that took them to the Texas side of the Red River by boat on December 30. The couple’s ATV was found mostly submerged along the Texas side of the river.

Texarkana Texas Police are investigating a fatal shooting that took place around 11:35 this morning in the parking lot of Oaklawn Village. The victim, identified as Nichlos Muldrow, 29, of Hope, AR. was shot multiple times before driving a short distance to the Whataburger parking lot on New Boston Road.

Texarkana Texas Police are asking for help in locating Forrest Lavery West, 26, of Texarkana. He has not been heard from since Wednesday morning. He is 5’7″, 150 pounds, and has a tattoo that says “Faith” on his right arm. If you have any information please contact TTPD by calling 903.798.3876.
