In a time when many argue as to what “real country music” means, there is no argument that Cody Jinks is the real deal, with a pure country honky tonk sound that is bringing Cody and his band millions of new fans! Cody Jinks will perform at Scottie’s Grill on Saturday, May 13, and tickets go on sale Friday, March 24.

With so many growing tired of the corporate radio idea of what “country music” should be, Texas Singer/Songwriter Cody Jinks has seen a tremendous growth in his fan-base. Many call Jinks an “Up and Coming Star” when in reality he has been a slave to his trade and working tirelessly for over 10 years now. When his album “I’m Not the Devil” was released it really shocked many of the suits in the industry when it debuted at number 4 on the Billboard Country Music Charts.

It’s a time when radio playlists are blown thru so quickly that longtime country music fans are starting to feel left out. Hence the increase in listenership for classic country stations, which are few in numbers compared to current music stations. Many argue that a lot of songs and stations sound the same. Artists like Jinks are in the cracks of the genre, and when they “breakout” very few understand just how hard it is for these outsiders in the industry that is depending on raps, dances, thousand dollar boots, and sparkly jeans. Many referred to his latest album as his “breakout record” when in fact it is his fifth album, outside of the big label system.

There is no mistake where Jinks is in the debate, he told Rollingstone.com,

“We go all over the United States, man, and people tell us, ‘Thank you, I hear ‘thank you’ more than I hear anything else. There’s no bullshit in our show. There’s no dancing, there’s no sparkle-bottom jeans. We get out there and we rip people’s faces off.”

Cody Jinks will be performing in Texarkana, Texas at Scottie’s Grill at 8400 W. 7th Street. The show starts at 7:00 p.m. Tickets will be $20 for general admission and $40 for reserved seating. Tickets go on sale Friday, March 24 at 10:00 a.m. and can be purchased online at OuthouseTickets.com.
