We have a growing list of local events planning fireworks displays for the 2017 Independence Day Weekend. Take a look at some of the area’s activities, and be sure to comment something we may have missed to get it added to the list.
Saturday, July 1:
DeKalb, Texas – Fireworks in the Park – With a live music, face painting, food, and Games! Bring your lawn chairs and canopies and make an afternoon of it! Spring Market will be there handing out watermelon and the De Kalb Majorettes have a free photo booth to take priceless photos at. The event will be held at the Industrial Park at the intersection of HWY 259 and HWY 82! Event starts at 5:00. Fireworks at Dark.
De Queen, Arkansas – Let Freedom Ring – at the De Queen Sportsplex, Live music beginning at 6:00 p.m., local talent show at 7:00 p.m., and fireworks to a patriotic soundtrack at dark.
Monday, July 3:
Atlanta, Texas – Freedomfest & Fireworks 2017 – Celebrate Independence Day at this wonderful LOCAL event! Vendors, Great Food, LIVE Music and More! Bring your blankets and lawn chairs and settle in for a Professional Firework Display funded locally by our wonderful community! Firework Show Donations can be brought by the Atlanta Area Chamber of Commerce at 101 N. East St. in Atlanta, TX 75551.
Redwater, Texas – First Baptist Church – Fireworks at dark.
Tuesday, July 4:
New Boston, Texas – Freedom Fest & Fireworks – Happening in downtown New Boston. Tuesday, July 4th. The Boy Scouts cooking burgers. Live music begins at 6:00 p.m. with Dale Cummings. Fireworks at 9:00 p.m. with patriotic music playing live at T&P Trail Head Park. Bring your lawn chairs.
Fouke Arkansas – God & Country Day – Beginning at 6:00 p.m. BBQ with all of the trimmings, special guest speaker, homemade desserts of cobbler and ice cream and Fireworks over the lake at 9:00 p.m. Located at River of Life Worship Center, 1405 MC 29, or call 870.653.2839.
Jefferson, Texas – Jefferson Salutes America – Beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Otstott Park Gazebo in downtown Jefferson. Children’s parade, Icecream championship, the Shreveport Metropolitan Concert Band and Fireworks over Big Cypress Bayou at 9:30 p.m.
Ashdown, Arkansas – Food Fun and More on July 4 – Activities begin at 4:00 p.m. with fun and games, face painting, bounce houses and more. The fireworks show will get underway at dark.
Shreveport, Louisiana – Independence Day Festival 2017 – All day event organized by KTBS -TV beginning with a 5K run at 7:00 a.m. Steak Cook-off, Children’s area and more. Fireworks will begin at 9:15 p.m.
