10th Annual Runnin’ WJ Barrel Race Schedule of Events

The 10th Annual Runnin’ WJ Ranch Barrel Race is taking place June 8 to 11 at the Four States Fairgrounds Entertainment Center. There is $12,000 in added prize money up for grabs in the competition and a special performance from recording star Collin Raye scheduled for Friday, June 9.

The 10th Annual Runnin’ WJ Barrel Race brings, even more fun and excitement for all as competitors from across the nation converge on Texarkana to compete for prize money, and spots in the Las Vegas Rodeo. There will also be a “love offering” concert from country recording star Collin Raye, donations will be used to purchase wheelchairs for students at Runnin WJ Ranch. Admission for the concert is free, and it is open to the public. The performance will be on the outdoor amphitheater stage on the Fairgrounds.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:

Wednesday – June 7 – Grounds open at 12 noon for early arrivals. Exhibition rides from 1pm -9pm.

Thursday – June 8 – Exhibition rides from 9:00 am. to 6:00 pm. At 7:00 pm. it is the KK Productions Run For Vegas for youth competitors to earn a spot for the upcoming rodeo event in Las Vegas.

Friday – June 9 – Books open at 8:00 am. Children’s Stick Horse Race happens at 8:30 am for 5-year-olds, 4-year-olds, & 3-year-olds and Under. The OPEN 5 D Barrel Race for all age competitors with $2000 in added money begins promptly at 9:00 am. Excepting entries till the last 50. From 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm it’s the Fish Fry and all the fixins for all of the event contestants and family.
6 pm – 8 pm at the Amphitheater outside the arena on the fairgrounds it is the “Collin Raye Benefit Concert” for Love Offerings. Donations will be taken to raise funds to purchase wheelchairs for students at Runnin WJ Ranch. The concert is free for the public to attend, donations are encouraged.

Saturday – June 10 – -OPEN 5 D $5000 ADDED Books open 7:30 am. Open 5 D Barrel Race with $5000 in added prize money begins at 8:00 am.
After racer 150 we will introduce 2 youth students and side walkers from Runnin WJ Ranch.
After racer 250 we will have our Tack/Walk on the arena floor for all barrel racers, family, and spectators that would like to participate, entry fee $5 per person. Lots of fun and 100 prizes to be given away.

Sunday – June 11 – Books open 7:30 am. Church service will be held inside the Entertainment Center beginning at 7:30 am. Open 5 D Barrel Race with $5,000 added money begins at 8:30 am.
