Police Officers are Brightening Children’s Birthdays During Pandemic

The Atlanta Texas Police Department is giving children charges of “Happy Birthday”, but it does have to be premeditated. With kids forgoing birthday parties from restrictions with the COVID-19 pandemic, officers with the Atlanta P.D. are among many across East Texas that are doing what they can to spread some joy.

    Media Release:

If you live inside the city limits of Atlanta and your child, or a child you know of, has a birthday coming up and they are bummed because they can’t celebrate with their friends and family because of the Covid-19 pandemic that is going on……we want to make their special day a little bit brighter ( and louder ). Give us a call and we will do a drive-by parade of police cars and fire trucks with lights and sirens going to wish your kiddo a Happy Birthday.

Call the Department at ( 903 ) 796-7973 and let Dispatch know what day you need the Birthday Drive-By and we will get you taken care of.

*Please give us advance notice so we can gather up as many police cars, fire trucks, and ambulances as possible to make the Drive-By as big and loud as possible

After more than 40 years with commercial broadcasting, I decided to do my own thing by blogging, and taking "unconsultant" gigs. It affords me the ability to stay super involved in the community, but still, have plenty of time with my 3 granddaughters and other projects.
