The Kansas City Southern Holiday Express train is headed to Texarkana on Monday, December 5, 2022. We have some details on how you can visit and tour the train for free.

The KCS Holiday Express is awesome with lots of decorations and lights with Christmas-themed train cars and of course, Rudy, the big smiling KCS engine leading the way.
The big elf himself, Santa will be there to visit with the kids and take pictures.
Bring the whole family to tour the KCS Holiday Express Christmas train.
Here are a few of the stops in our area…
Sunday, December 4 at 4:00 pm – Shreveport, La at the KCS Yard @ 4500 North Lake Shore Dr., Gate 5
Monday, December 5 from 5:30 – 8:30 pm – Texarkana, Texas at Tiger Stadium at Grim Park with shuttle service provided from the stadium to the train and back for free.
Tuesday, December 6 at 4:00 pm – Ashdown, Ark at the corner of Main and US Highway 71
Not only does the KCS Holiday Express spread lots of Christmas Joy, but the real mission is to raise funds for warm clothing for those without. Over the decades this event has raised more than 2.5 million dollars for the Salvation Army to purchase coats, gloves, and other cold weather supplies for children in our communities.
The event is free, and open to the public. Donations are gladly accepted.
To visit, Shuttles will be running from Texas High Stadium at Grim Park to and from the KCS Railyard. The event is free, and the kids LOVE it!

After more than 40 years with commercial broadcasting, I decided to do my own thing by blogging, and taking "unconsultant" gigs. It affords me the ability to stay super involved in the community, but still, have plenty of time with my 3 granddaughters and other projects.
