The stage is set for an exciting showdown as the Southern Arkansas University (SAU) Muleriders gear up to face the Missouri Western Griffons in the 10th-anniversary game of the Farmers Bank & Trust Live United Bowl at Razorback Stadium in Texarkana, Arkansas.
The much-anticipated matchup between the Great American Conference (GAC) and the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) is expected to be a highly competitive game, featuring two strong teams with impressive records of 9-2 (SAU) and 8-3 (MW).
The landmark game will take place on Saturday, December 2nd, at Texarkana Arkansas School District’s Razorback Stadium, with a noon kick-off. Tailgaters are invited to start the festivities early, as gates will open at 8:00 am, while the stadium gates will follow suit at 10:00 am.
Celebrating a decade of success, the Live United Bowl has become a respected fixture on the collegiate football calendar, drawing interest from universities across the nation. Allen Brown, President of the Live United Bowl, expressed the high regard in which the game is held, stating, “Calls from numerous universities were received inquiring about being invited to play.” Brown credited the event’s success to its founding sponsor, the City of Texarkana, Arkansas A&P Commission, and title sponsor Farmers Bank & Trust, along with the City of Texarkana, Texas.
To kick off the event, teams from SAU and Missouri Western will arrive in Texarkana on Thursday, November 30th, participating in local community events over the following two days. Football practices are scheduled for Friday afternoon, preparing the teams for the main event.
Adding to the excitement, the Jeans, Boots, and BBQ Banquet will take place on Friday, December 1st, from 6-8 pm at the Texarkana, Texas Convention Center.
