Media Release:
Detectives obtained felony warrants against two men believed to have been responsible for Saturday morning’s shooting on Monroe Drive. Both Deangelo Walker and Ge’keyvun Minneweather are wanted for two counts of felony Deadly Conduct.
According to the victim, the two men were chasing him in their vehicle on Richmond Road. He said he turned onto Monroe Drive and lost control of his vehicle in one of the curves there, causing it to crash into a house. He said that, as soon as he wrecked out, he heard gunshots coming from the street behind him. After the shots stopped, he jumped out of his car and started running toward his home a few blocks away. While no one was hurt during the shooting, there were several bullet holes later found in both the victim’s car and the house that he crashed into. The elderly homeowners were inside their house when all this happened.
This whole deal is believed to stem from an altercation between Walker and the victim that happened several weeks ago at a local club.
