A homicide investigation is underway after a male juvenile was fatally shot at the River Run Apartment Complex on Tuesday, October 22, 2024. Texarkana Arkansas Police Department officers responded to a 911 call reporting multiple gunshots at approximately 1:07 PM.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found the young victim suffering from gunshot wounds. Officers immediately rendered aid until LifeNet EMS arrived and transported him to a local hospital. Despite continued life-saving efforts by medical staff, the victim tragically succumbed to his injuries.
Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Division and the Crime Scene Unit are actively investigating the incident. Officers secured the area and began collecting evidence and witness statements.
