The Texarkana Arkansas Police Department (TAPD) responded to three separate reports of shots fired Tuesday night, with incidents occurring in different parts of the city. No injuries were reported in any of the cases, though one vehicle was struck by gunfire.
The first call came in around 7:00 p.m. regarding gunfire near E. 30th and Central Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered that a vehicle had been hit by bullets, but no injuries were reported.
A second report of shots fired was received at approximately 8:10 p.m. near Grove and Sunflower Street. Officers responding to the scene found no property damage or injuries.
The third report came around 8:50 p.m. in the 900 block of Ferguson. Like the earlier call on Grove and Sunflower, no damage or injuries were found at the scene.
According to TAPD, the incidents near Grove and Ferguson are believed to be unrelated to the shooting at E. 30th and Central Street. However, the Criminal Investigation Division and Crime Scene Unit were called to investigate all three reports and collect evidence.
“The Texarkana Arkansas Police Department remains committed to fully investigating all reports of criminal behavior,” officials stated. Detectives are currently working all leads related to the incidents.
Anyone with information regarding these cases is encouraged to contact TAPD at (903) 798-3154 or submit anonymous tips through Crime Stoppers.
Authorities urge residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to law enforcement immediately.
