Texarkana’s biggest appetites will take center stage on Saturday, March 29, at 2:00 p.m., as the Texarkana Pizza Eating Championship rolls into Lost Pizza Co., located at 4206 Gibson Lane in Texarkana, Texas. But this isn’t just about bragging rights and a belly full of pizza—it’s about supporting education and literacy in the community.
Hosted by the Literacy Council of Bowie and Miller Counties, this mouthwatering event challenges participants to put away as much of Lost Pizza’s signature creations as they can handle, all in the name of functional literacy education. Proceeds from the event will directly support programs aimed at helping individuals improve their academic skills, develop essential life tools, and gain workforce competencies right here in the Texarkana region.
“Pizza and progress go hand in hand,” said a spokesperson for the Literacy Council. “What better way to support education than by enjoying a fun, competitive, and delicious event?”
Spectators are encouraged to come out, cheer on the competitors, and even sign up if they think they have what it takes to claim the title. Whether you’re competing or just watching, one thing’s for sure—this event will be a slice above the rest!
Mark your calendars, bring your appetite, and join the fun. Together, the community can turn pizza into progress, one bite at a time.
