Texarkana is gearing up for an electrifying day of fastpitch softball as RKS Tournaments hosts the T-Town Showdown on April 19th. The one-day tournament, held at Grady T. Wallace Park and William Karrh Memorial Park, promises to bring top-tier competition, exciting matchups, and a showcase of young softball talent from across the region.
With a $50 entry fee, the tournament is designed to test the skills and endurance of competing teams in the Blind Draw 3GG format, ensuring each squad gets at least three games. The event will feature MVP awards, championship rings, and banners for both champions and finalists.
Who’s Coming?
A diverse lineup of teams from Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma is set to compete in four age divisions:
- 8U Open: Lady Dragons (Redwater, TX), Swing Lab – Arsenault (Texarkana, TX), Louisiana Krewe (Benton, LA)
- 10U C: Diamond Divas (New Boston, TX), Wolfpack (Texarkana, AR), Heat 2K15 (Texarkana, AR), Lady Backs (Texarkana, TX), Swing Lab – Pettit (Texarkana, TX), Texas Legacy (Atlanta, TX)
- 12U Open: ETX Velocity (Texarkana, TX), Texas Twisters (Mount Pleasant, TX), Rebels (Broken Bow, OK)
- 14U Open: NETX Wild Thangz (Bogata, TX), TK Smoke (Texarkana, AR), Lady Razors (Hope, AR)
Tournament Details & Registration
The first two teams in each division to register will receive free entry, and all teams must finalize their entry via CashApp, Venmo, or PayPal before their spot is secured. Payment details and registration can be found at PlayNCS.com.
Tournament play will follow National Championship Sports (NCS) rules, with time limits of 60-70 minutes per game depending on age division. The Pay At The Plate (PAP) fees are $40 for 8U and $45 for 10U-18U. Run rules will apply, and games cannot end in ties.
Event Policies & Expectations
- Gate Fee: $10 per person (12 & under free); players and three coaches per team get in free.
- No outside food or drinks, but each team is allowed one cooler.
- No pets allowed, except registered service animals.
- Zero tolerance for disrespectful behavior—any player, coach, or spectator exhibiting misconduct will be ejected.
- Roster Lock Deadline: Friday, April 18th, at 11:59 PM. Players must be listed and waivers signed to be eligible.
