Traffic Stop Leads to Drug and Firearm Arrest in Texarkana

A routine traffic stop early Wednesday morning led to the arrest of a Texarkana man on multiple drug and firearm charges, according to the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department.

At around 2:30 a.m. on October 22, 2025, Officer Harris stopped a blue Honda Pilot with expired tags near Arkansas Boulevard and County Avenue. Police say the vehicle was driven by Chase Crawford, who was the sole occupant.

During the stop, Officer Harris reportedly spotted a glass meth pipe with residue sitting in plain view inside the vehicle’s center cup holder. After a backup officer arrived, Crawford was asked to exit the vehicle. Officers then conducted a search based on the plain-view discovery of paraphernalia.

According to the report, officers found a backpack containing a black zipper case with 54.5 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 21 Clonazepam tablets, half of a Xanax bar, 22.4 grams of suspected marijuana including THC gummies, and 8.2 grams of Sildenafil Citrate (generic Viagra). Also recovered were two additional glass meth pipes, a digital scale, and multiple small plastic baggies commonly used for packaging narcotics.

A loaded 9mm Smith & Wesson pistol—with a round in the chamber and five in the magazine—was also found between the driver’s seat and center console, within Crawford’s reach.

Police say the combination of drugs, packaging materials, and a firearm indicated intent to distribute. Crawford was arrested and charged with:

    • Possession with Intent to Deliver (Schedule II – Methamphetamine)

    • Possession with Intent to Deliver (Schedule IV – Clonazepam and Xanax)

    • Possession with Intent to Deliver (Schedule VI – Marijuana)

    • Felon in Possession of a Firearm

    • Simultaneous Possession of Drugs and a Firearm

    • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Crawford was transported to the Miller County Jail and booked without incident.
