Texarkana Texas Police arrested three teenagers early Sunday morning following a shooting incident at an apartment complex on Stoneledge Drive. The call came in around 4:30 a.m. reporting shots fired, prompting officers to respond quickly to the area.
As officers arrived, they spotted a vehicle speeding away from the complex and conducted a traffic stop just a few blocks away. When the occupants exited the car, two of the teenagers immediately fled on foot. Officers gave chase, and thanks to coordinated teamwork — including assistance from a nearby citizen who managed to physically stop one of the fleeing suspects — three of the four individuals from the vehicle were apprehended within minutes.
Inside the vehicle, police found evidence confirming the group’s involvement in the shooting. According to investigators, the incident began when an argument broke out at a party within the apartment complex. The confrontation escalated, and multiple individuals pulled out firearms, opening fire. At least five parked vehicles were struck by bullets. Despite the gunfire, no injuries were reported.
Police arrested Elijah Dunn, 17, and Diego Garcia, 17, charging both with Deadly Conduct. They were transported to the Bi-State Jail. A 15-year-old juvenile was also taken into custody on charges of Deadly Conduct and Evading Arrest and was booked into the Juvenile Detention Center. Authorities are still working to identify additional individuals involved in the incident.
