Looking at a great weekend of fun in Texarkana and lots and lots of Tacos! Here is our entertainment list for the weekend of May 8 & 9 thanks to our community partners at Tony Langford Roofing, Whiskey River Country Club, and Hot Tails Crawfish.
This weekend Downtown Texarkana is about to get a serious flavor upgrade as the city gears up for the first-ever Texarkana Taco Festival this Saturday, May 9th at Front Street Plaza. This all-day, high-energy celebration will bring together food trucks, live music, vendors, and family-friendly entertainment, all centered around one thing—tacos. From the opening Chihuahua Parade to the fiery Hot Salsa “Toughman” Contest, the day is packed with creative competitions including Best Taco, Best Salsa, a “Dress Your Pet Like a Taco” contest, luchador wrestling, and a grand finale Taco Eating Contest that promises to steal the show. Organizers say the goal is simple: bring the community together for a fun, flavorful, and unforgettable downtown experience where the only thing better than the competition is the tacos themselves.
