The Texarkana Public Library is inviting the community to celebrate the start of summer with its Summer Reading Kick Off Block Party on Saturday, May 30.
The free, family-friendly event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will feature food vendors, a bounce house, local art vendors, music, and activities for all ages.
Library officials say the event will officially launch the library’s Summer Reading Program, encouraging children and families to enjoy reading, educational activities, and community engagement throughout the summer months.
Community members are encouraged to bring the whole family and enjoy a day of fun, entertainment, and summer celebration.
