Big weekend for Texarkana with some big time events and great live music. Thanks to our community partners at Tony Langford Roofing, Whiskey River Country Club, and Hot Tails Crawfish, here is the list for the weekend of June 12 & 13!
We have already started the weekend with one of the largest equine events in the country with the 19th Annual Runnin’ WJ Ranch Barrel Race rides into the Four States Fairgrounds. What started as a fundraiser has grown into one of the largest equestrian events in the nation, attracting thousands of competitors and spectators from across the United States. Three days of fast-paced barrel racing action, vendors, food, and family-friendly activities make this one of the premier events on the Texarkana calendar.
Best of all, admission is free for spectators. Competition begins Thursday evening with the KK Run for Vegas qualifier and continues through Sunday with multiple 5D Open events featuring thousands of dollars in added prize money. Beyond the excitement in the arena, the event serves as a major fundraiser for Runnin’ WJ Ranch, whose equine-assisted therapy programs help individuals with special needs throughout the region.
HypeCon 2026
If comics, gaming, anime, cosplay, wrestling, and pop culture are more your speed, HypeCon 2026 returns to Texarkana this weekend bigger than ever. The growing convention has become one of the most unique entertainment events in the region, bringing together fans from across the Four States area for a weekend packed with cosplay contests, gaming tournaments, vendors, collectibles, wrestling, live entertainment, and fan experiences.
This year’s event at the Canvas Event Center features something for just about everyone, whether you’re a lifelong comic book collector, a hardcore gamer, an anime fan, or simply curious about the world of cosplay. Organizers continue expanding the event each year, blending traditional comic-con culture with esports-style gaming, celebrity guests, wrestling, and interactive experiences that appeal to both dedicated fans and families looking for something different to do this weekend.
