As summer winds down and families begin preparing for another school year, the Texarkana community is coming together to help students start the year ready for success.
The 2nd Annual Texarkana Community Back to School Bash will take place Saturday, July 25, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Razorback Stadium, located at 1900 E. 18th Street in Texarkana, Arkansas.
The event is free and open to families from all local school districts, offering a morning filled with entertainment, activities, and resources designed to celebrate students and support families as they prepare for the upcoming school year.
Attendees can enjoy live entertainment, music, bounce houses, face painting, games, interactive activities, and opportunities to connect with local schools, churches, businesses, nonprofits, and community organizations focused on helping students succeed.
One of the biggest highlights of the event will be the free backpack and school supply giveaway. Supplies will be available while they last, and organizers encourage families to arrive early at 9:00 a.m. for the best chance to receive a backpack filled with essential school supplies. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Genia Bullock, Director of Public Relations for the Texarkana Arkansas School District, said the event is about much more than handing out school supplies.
“The Back to School Bash is more than just a fun event—it’s a celebration of our students, our families, and our community. When our community comes together to support children, we send a powerful message that every student matters.”
Bullock said the goal is to bring families together while creating excitement and encouragement as students begin a new school year.
The Back to School Bash is made possible through the support of CHRISTUS St. Michael Health System along with numerous community partners, including local businesses, schools, churches, nonprofit organizations, civic groups, and volunteers.
Organizers say the event is a chance for the entire community to come together and show students they have a strong support system behind them.

The countdown to the new school year is underway, and organizers are inviting Texarkana families to kick things off with a morning of fun, fellowship, and community support.
