If you enjoy the outdoors, good food, friendly competition, and great fellowship, you’ll want to mark your calendar for the 2026 Sportsman’s Banquet at Beech Street First Baptist Church.
The free community event will take place Saturday, August 22, beginning at 5:00 p.m., and promises an evening centered around family, faith, the outdoors, and the Gospel.
Whether you’re an avid hunter, fisherman, or simply looking for an enjoyable night with friends and family, organizers say everyone is welcome.
One of the evening’s featured attractions will be the Sportsman’s Trophy Contest, where attendees are encouraged to bring mounts from home and let fellow guests vote for their favorites. The church will award $500 prizes in each of three categories:
- Big Game
- Fishing
- Other Wildlife
Think your trophy room has a showstopper? This is your chance to put it to the test.
If competition in the field isn’t your thing, maybe the kitchen is.
The banquet will also feature a Best Dessert Competition, giving local bakers the opportunity to show off their favorite homemade creations. And, as you might expect from a Baptist church gathering, organizers promise there will be more than enough food for everyone.
