The Texarkana Texas Parks & Recreation department will be hosting a Spring basketball camp at Southwest Center in Texarkana, Texas on May 16. Cost for the clinic is free, but space is limited.

    There will be three different age groups. Groups are scheduled as 8 to 10-year-olds will be from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., 11 to 13-year-olds will be 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., and 14 to 16-year-olds from 5:15 to 8:30 p.m.

Participants will learn and train on defensive skills, offensive skills, how to read and play passing lanes, and a lot more. Other skills the camps will focus on is respect, communication, people skills, valuing others, and to simply enjoy the game of basketball while having fun.

Space is limited, so reserve a spot as soon as possible.

After more than 40 years with commercial broadcasting, I decided to do my own thing by blogging, and taking "unconsultant" gigs. It affords me the ability to stay super involved in the community, but still, have plenty of time with my 3 granddaughters and other projects.
