A community is saddened this morning when locals found that over night, vandals had set fire to the newly installed play equipment at Beverly Park in Texarkana Texas.
The following statement and photos were posted to the City of Texarkana’s Facebook page.
Imagine our heartbreak when we found this happened at Beverly Park overnight. We’ve spent months and years planning, preparing, budgeting and installing brand new playground equipment and can’t imagine why someone would burn it less 24 hours after we finished putting it in. That’s right, we finished this playground YESTERDAY. Please, Texarkana, let’s do better.
