A fun trip back in history, entertainment and fine dining are the plans for the “1st Annual Old town Victorian Soiree” scheduled for December 6, in downtown and hosted by Texarkana’s Old Town.

    Facebook Event Page:

Texarkana’s Old Town will host a Victorian Christmas Soiree Thursday evening, December 6. Come stroll the candlelit streets of Old Town and join in the festivities which will include a cellist, Christmas caroling, dramatic poetry and prose readings, tree decorating and a 3-course meal catered by Verona Restaurant and Wine Bar. Period dress is encouraged but not required. Tickets are $45 per person and seating is limited to 30.

Located at 202 East Broad Street, Texarkana’s Old Town is a replica of Broad Street, circa 1890 consisting of 11 of the city’s early stores. Available for viewing by scheduled tours. For more information on the event or the exhibits call 903.748.1235.

After more than 40 years with commercial broadcasting, I decided to do my own thing by blogging, and taking "unconsultant" gigs. It affords me the ability to stay super involved in the community, but still, have plenty of time with my 3 granddaughters and other projects.
