2020 Christmas Parade in Downtown Texarkana is Going to Be Different [VIDEO]

We had a chance to talk to Ms. Ina McDowell about this year’s Main Street Texarkana Christmas Parade in downtown Texarkana. When asked, she exclaimed, “It’s Happening”! However, with pandemic planning, the 2020 parade is going to be different.

Ms. Ina McDowell, Main Street Texarkana Executive Director, was able to take a few minutes to talk to us about the growth in downtown, and the “Reverse Christmas Parade”. (???… me too.)

Ms. Ina explains that the plan is that parade entries will be lined up in place on the parade route with a lane open for spectators to drive-by and view the parade. Yes, it is different, but huge kudos for the can-do approach by Main Street to spread some Christmas joy during this pandemic in any way they can.

After more than 40 years with commercial broadcasting, I decided to do my own thing by blogging, and taking "unconsultant" gigs. It affords me the ability to stay super involved in the community, but still, have plenty of time with my 3 granddaughters and other projects.
