With July 4 falling on Monday, there are only a few fireworks shows on the actual 4th of July, but that means we also get some shows on the 2nd, and 3rd giving us some great opportunities to enjoy even more fireworks and some of our area communities. Check out the list.
Starting off with events scheduled for July 4, 2022:
Wake Village – Annual King’s Park Celebration – See some fireworks on July 4th at Kings Park in Wake Village. The display will start at dark (9:00 pm) but you can come early and enjoy the park with your family and friends.
New Boston – Freedomfest 2022 festivities kick off at 6 pm with music, Boy Scouts grilling burgers, and more. The fireworks will begin as the skies get dark. (We just keep thinking dark is 9:00)
Ashdown – Beginning at 4:00 pm there is live music, food trucks, and vendors at Ashdown Junior High School. Fireworks will begin at dark.
Doddridge – One of our favorites on the list is the get-together in Doddridge, Arkansas. A family-centered event with a 24ft Waterslide, a 12ft Waterslide, Homemade Ice Cream Contest, and Patriotic Music are some of the special activities planned. Bring your food (Grills available), Fireworks, and lawn chairs. The Doddridge Community Development Council folks will provide a great Fireworks show at dark.
Anyone who wishes may shoot their own fireworks in a designated area.
*Important Note: (Safety will be a major priority. Individuals who choose to shoot fireworks will be personally responsible for the safety of their family and themselves)
