    6-26-2020 Updated Texarkana Area COVID 19 Numbers

    On Friday, June 26, 2020, Miller County reports a total of 98 positive COVID 19 cases with 80 recoveries and 2 deaths. Bowie County reports a total of 247 positive COVID-19 cases, with 119 recoveries and 16 related deaths. Cass County has a total of 36 cases with 32 recoveries and two deaths.

    With COVID 19 numbers steadily rising, Texas Governor Greg Abbott has rolled back the phased opening of the state. He has ordered bars closed, restaurants back to 50% occupancy, and more… for the report, CLICK HERE.

    TEXARKANA, TX—Bowie County Emergency Operations Center reports a total of 247 positive COVID-19 cases, with 119 recoveries and 16 related deaths. Cass County has a total 36 cases with 32 recoveries, and two deaths.

    Governor Greg Abbott announced on Friday that he has rolled back a portion of the Open Texas plan, citing “recent substantial increases” in COVID-19 cases, positivity rates and hospitalizations. His order:

    • Reduces dine-in restaurant capacities back to 50% beginning Monday, June 29
    • Recloses bars at noon today, June 26, except for drive-thru, pickup or delivery options
    • Prohibits outdoor gatherings of more than 100 people unless approved by the mayor of a city or the county judge for an unincorporated area
    • Closes rafting and tubing services, including the rental of rafts or tubes
