The third annual Fox Sports Fanfest will take place Saturday August 20th at the Texarkana Texas Convention Center on Cowhorn Creek from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m..
The 3rd Annual Fox Fan Fest will be held this Saturday August 20th, from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the Texarkana Convention Center-Hilton Garden Inn in Texarkana, Texas. The annual event features dozens of sports exhibits, local football teams and pep squads, local bands and a Hall Of Fame Induction ceremony. This year, the 2016 Hall of Fame Inductees are the late former Texarkana Gazette Arkansas high beat writer James Williams, former Liberty-Eylau and NFL player Byron Williams, Arkansas Razorback fan Billy Lavender, NFL Hall-of Famer Willie Davis, and former Arkansas High, college football and NFL player Mike Cherry.
There will be dozens of vendors displaying and selling goods and services, several high school football teams and bands; including Texas High, Arkansas High, Pleasant Grove, Liberty-Eylau and Atlanta. The schedule of events is listed at the end of this story. Fans can come rub elbows with sports greats, current stars and celebrities and enjoy the band performances and interviews with players and coaches on stage. Something new this year; a chance to meet the American Legion team from Texarkana (Texarkana Razorbacks) that won the American Legion World Series and they will bring the championship trophy.
Admission into the Fox Fan Fest is Free, compliments of Fox Sports Radio 1400. This is an event for the whole family.
Fox Fan Fest is presented by Texas A&M-Texarkana University and sponsored by McDonalds, Texarkana, Texas ISD, State Farm Agent Kristy Smith, KLFI-TV, McLarty Ford.
