Texarkana Texas Police are investigating an early morning crash on Summerhill Rd. that left one man dead from his injuries.

    Press Release:

At approximately 6:36 AM, the Texarkana Texas Police Department responded to a major crash at Martin Luther King Jr Blvd. and Summerhill Rd. Upon arrival officers located a 1993 green Ford Mustang and a 2016 white Ford F-250 on Summerhill Rd. just south of the intersection. The driver of the Mustang, James Rose of Texarkana, Texas, was dead on arrival. The driver of the F-250, Lucas Berry of Texarkana, Arkansas, suffered minor injuries. Traffic investigators determined the Mustang was traveling south on Summerhill Rd. in the left lane and the F-250 was traveling north on Summerhill Rd. turning west onto Martin Luther King Jr Blvd. Investigators determined Rose wasn’t wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash. Traffic investigators are still investigating to determine the cause of the crash.
