A Friday morning stabbing investigation in Texarkana, Arkansas, quickly expanded into a major felony drug and firearms case, resulting in multiple charges against two people.
According to the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department, officers were notified around 7:30 a.m. on Friday, July 24, 2026, after a stabbing victim arrived at a local hospital seeking treatment. Investigators determined the stabbing had occurred at a home in the 2600 block of Short Kniffen Street.
Police also received information that a possible second stabbing victim remained inside the residence and that the suspect was armed with a handgun and had threatened to shoot people at the home.
When officers arrived, they reported hearing an active disturbance inside the residence. After repeated attempts to get someone to answer the door were unsuccessful, officers entered the home under exigent circumstances, believing another victim could be inside in need of immediate medical assistance.
Inside, officers located 32-year-old Briuana Soloman, who investigators identified as the alleged suspect, along with 32-year-old Trevon Ford, who was initially believed to be a possible second victim.
Soloman was arrested on a charge of First-Degree Battery. Officers later determined Ford did not require medical treatment but discovered he had outstanding felony and misdemeanor warrants, leading to his arrest.
Following the arrests, detectives with the department’s Criminal Investigation Division obtained a search warrant for the residence to locate the knife and handgun reportedly used during the incident.
During the search, investigators say they discovered multiple illegal narcotics, drug paraphernalia, and two firearms, including the handgun allegedly possessed by Soloman during the assault.
As a result of the investigation, both Soloman and Ford were charged with:
- Simultaneous Possession of Drugs and Firearms
- Two counts of Possession of a Firearm by Certain Persons
- Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute
- Possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute
- Possession of a Schedule VI Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
In addition to those charges, Soloman also faces First-Degree Battery and First-Degree Terroristic Threatening in connection with the alleged stabbing and threats made during the incident.
The Texarkana Arkansas Police Department praised the responding officers and detectives for their coordinated response.
“Their swift actions, coordinated communication, and commitment to protecting the community led to the safe resolution of a dangerous situation and the successful removal of dangerous drugs from our streets,” the department said in a statement.

As with all criminal cases, the charges are allegations, and both defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
