We have been notified that the gas leak at TAMUT has been contained and the the campus has re-opened at this time. In an effort to keep student, staff and facility safe the campus of Texas A&M University-Texarkana was evacuated this afternoon.
Construction crews have severed a gas line on the TAMUT campus. Campus has been evacuated to First Baptist Church on Moores Lane and is closed until further notice. I am set up in the clubhouse of the Texarkana Golf Ranch and will be here for the duration of the campus closure. I will provide more details as available.
