A&M-Texarkana Eagles to Take on Number 1 Ranked Georgia Gwinnett College

Texas A&M – Texarkana Eagles are sure to bring us a great weekend of baseball at George Dobson Field in Spring Lake Park when they host the number 1 ranked Georgia Gwinnet College Grizzlies Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

TEXARKANA, Texas – The Texas A&M University-Texarkana Eagles baseball team will take on top-ranked Georgia Gwinnett College of Lawrenceville, Georgia, in a three-game series this weekend at George Dobson Field at Spring Lake Park in Texarkana, Texas.

At 35-1 on the season, the Georgia Gwinnett Grizzlies baseball team is ranked No. 1 in the NAIA Baseball Coaches’ Top 25 Poll and No. 1 in Association of Independent Institutions conference play. A&M-Texarkana is 22-9 on the season and No. 2 in AII conference play, so this promises to be a great weekend of baseball in Texarkana.

Game time is 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 1 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for youth ages 6-17. Children ages 5 and under will be admitted at no charge.

In conjunction with the iServe Week of community service at A&M-Texarkana, Eagles Athletics and the Office of Student Life will host a canned food drive at the games to benefit the Harvest Regional Food Bank. For every two cans of food donated at the games, attendees will receive one ticket to be placed in a drawing for a deluxe A&M-Texarkana Eagles gift basket. Participants must be present to win.
