The Texarkana Arkansas Police Department is investigating allegations of sexual misconduct involving a former Arkansas High School coach.
According to authorities, in early February 2026, the department received a report involving a juvenile who alleged inappropriate actions by Dennis Johnson Jr., who was employed at the time as a coach at Arkansas High School.
Detectives conducted an investigation and determined there was probable cause to support charges of Sexual Assault in the Second Degree and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor. An affidavit was submitted for arrest warrants, which were reviewed and approved by the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office and a judge.
Police say the allegations involve Johnson’s position of influence as a coach at the school.
The investigation remains ongoing, and officials say no additional information is being released at this time.
The Texarkana Arkansas Police Department is urging anyone with information related to this case, or any sexual assault, to contact law enforcement.
