Arkansas State Police are currently investigating a collision involving two members of law enforcement that occurred at approximately 10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 15, at the intersection of East Street and Division Street.
According to officials, the incident unfolded as a Miller County Sheriff’s deputy was en route to assist a Texarkana Arkansas police officer who had activated their emergency lights at an intersection. The deputy was operating an unmarked vehicle at the time of the incident. The circumstances leading to the collision remain unclear at this stage of the investigation. Additionally, authorities have confirmed that a third vehicle was also involved in the crash.
Both the officer and the deputy were transported to the hospital for medical evaluation, while the third individual involved was assessed at the scene by medical personnel.
