The Texarkana Arkansas Police Department has announced the arrest of a suspect in connection with the recent homicide that has gripped the local community. On Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at 7:05 p.m., officers from the Criminal Investigation Division apprehended a 17-year-old suspect in Texarkana, Arkansas.

This arrest follows a thorough investigation into the death of Marious L. Bradley, whose body was found on August 12, 2024, at 2511 E. 24th Street. Detectives worked tirelessly, conducting witness interviews and forensic analysis, which ultimately led them to establish a clear connection between the suspect and the crime scene.

Interim Chief Ed Chattaway praised the hard work of the detectives and the cooperation from the community, saying, “The dedication of our detectives and the support from the community have been crucial in bringing this suspect into custody. We remain committed to ensuring the safety of our residents and will continue to work tirelessly to seek justice for the victim and his family.”

The juvenile suspect has been charged with Capital Murder and three counts of Terroristic Act, all felonies. The suspect will be transferred to a Juvenile Detention Center outside of Miller County, Arkansas.

The investigation remains ongoing, and the police are urging anyone with additional information to come forward. The Texarkana Arkansas Police Department thanks the community for their support and patience during this challenging time and will provide further updates as more information becomes available.

After more than 40 years with commercial broadcasting, I decided to do my own thing by blogging, and taking "unconsultant" gigs. It affords me the ability to stay super involved in the community, but still, have plenty of time with my 3 granddaughters and other projects.
