‘Bags to School Mom Bash’ Event Planned for August 17


A great event for Mom’s getting kids ready for class is coming up on August 17, 201,8 at the Sportsplex on Richmond Road, it’s called the “Bags to School Mom Bash” with a lot of fun activities for Mom, and chances at a number of designer handbags.

The first day of school is swiftly approaching, and moms all across Texarkana are ready to kick back and relax. HealthCARE Express and The Sportsplex want to provide a relaxing and fun event for local moms as they’re getting their children ready to go back to school. Come join them at The Sportsplex pool August 17 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. for their Bags to School Mom Bash.

Admission is just $5 per person and includes access to the pool, snacks, dinner, and a card for the designer bag bingo game. There are 14 different bags that can be won from Kate Spade to Michael Kors, all totaling at $2300. Additional cards for bingo can be purchased for $5 each. The school that has the most moms in attendance to the party will receive all the proceeds from admission and cards sales. There will also be a silent auction, the proceeds from which will be split between the participating schools.

Doors open at 6:00 p.m. Moms who do a tour of The Sportsplex with a Plex staff member will receive an additional free bingo card. Festivities begin at 6:30 p.m.with hors d’ouevres and champagne sponsored by HealthCARE Express Physical Therapy. Vendors will also open shop and the silent auction will begin at 6:30 p.m. so moms can shop around while they enjoy snacks. The designer bag bingo begins at 9:00 p.m. and will end no later than 10:00 p.m. Dinner starts at 7:30 p.m. and will be catered on site by Texas Roadhouse with the choice of either a grilled chicken salad or a 6oz sirloin steak. Attendees can continue to eat, shop, swim, and have fun until 10:00 p.m.
