‘Benefit for Blake’ Scheduled at Crossties for Saturday June 12

On Saturday, June 12, Crossties in downtown Texarkana, in conjunction with the Dwight Neville Memorial Fund will be hosting multiple events and activities to benefit little Blake Sampson and his family as they struggle with his recovery from injuries received from his step-father.

Look, I understand all of the whatnots… accused, alleged, etc… but we all know about the horrific abuse this child suffered at the hands of his step-father, Charles Brooks. The man faces charges and is currently out on bail. Meanwhile, this baby is still in a coma, and will most likely have a very long road ahead of him.

The family is making plans to eventually get Blake home to Genoa Arkansas with his father and grandparents, and we want to make sure that some of the burdens be lifted from this family with this benefit for baby Blake.

This will be on Saturday, June 12, 2021, at and on the grounds of Crossties in downtown Texarkana, 324 E. Broad Street in Texarkana Arkansas from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Activities include a poker run, multiple food trucks and vendors, 50/50 tickets, live music, an auction full of great merchandise and services, a Car & Bike Show, and much more. For more information or to get involved call Al Green at 903.908.4609.

After more than 40 years with commercial broadcasting, I decided to do my own thing by blogging, and taking "unconsultant" gigs. It affords me the ability to stay super involved in the community, but still, have plenty of time with my 3 granddaughters and other projects.
