Drive-Thru Live Nativity Returns to Texarkana December 5–7

A beloved Texarkana holiday tradition is returning once again this December. The annual Drive-Thru Live Nativity at First Assembly of God – Lighthouse Ministries will take place December 5, 6, and 7, 2025, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. each evening at 3401 W. 7th Street.

For many local families, the Live Nativity has become a highlight of the Christmas season — a chance to experience the story of Christ’s birth brought to life with sights, sounds, and even smells of the manger scene.

This year’s presentation features camels, goats, other assorted livestock, and more than 100 volunteers in full costume. Visitors can expect a fully immersive experience, complete with music, live narration, and friendly interaction with the characters along the route.

Guests are encouraged to roll their windows down, wave, and enjoy the live scenes as they make their way through the story of the first Christmas.

The event is free and open to the public. Families, churches, and community groups are invited to come out and celebrate the season in this unique and heartwarming Texarkana tradition.

After more than 40 years with commercial broadcasting, I decided to do my own thing by blogging, and taking "unconsultant" gigs. It affords me the ability to stay super involved in the community, but still, have plenty of time with my 3 granddaughters and other projects.
