Explosion and Fire Reported at Tyson Foods in Nashville


An early morning explosion and fire at the Tyson Foods Plant in Nashville Arkansas has reportedly injured some employees. Emergency personnel and firefighters from around the region are working the scene.

From employee posts on Facebook, the incident occurred around 2:00 am this morning and there have been multiple injuries. We have reached out for more information from officials and will be updated when all employees are accounted for and more information is available.

Two employees sustained injuries and are being treated for burns to their faces, arms, and legs. The explosion and fire occurred in the boiler room. The boiler room used to cook the chicken was completely destroyed. The fire was in an off building from the main plant so some work is able to continue at the plant.

The explosion and fire are under investigation at this time.
