The 2022 Farmers Bank & Trust Live United Bowl will be played on Saturday, December 3. The teams will be announced on Tuesday, November 15, and schools from all over are hoping for a chance to grow into what has become an important College Bowl Game in Texarkana, Arkansas.

    Press Release:

The Farmers Bank & Trust LIVE UNITED Bowl Team Announcement Press Conference will be held Tuesday, November 15th at Arkansas Middle School on Jefferson Avenue at 10:30 am. The public is invited to attend.

The Farmers Bank & Trust LIVE UNITED BOWL will be played Saturday, December 3rd at Texarkana Arkansas School  District’s Razorback Stadium with a noon Kick-off. “With a team from the Great American Conference (GAC) and a  regional Division II opponent, this year’s game should prove to be a great competition says,” Jerry Huckabee, Live United  Bowl committee.

Putting together a first-class experience for the two universities and their fans has always been the goal of the Live United  Bowl. With the feedback from participating universities over the last nine years, the LIVE UNITED BOWL has become the  premier Division II bowl game. “Calls from a number of universities are already coming in to ask if they will be considered  to be invited to play in the 2022 bowl game,” says Allen Brown, President of the Live United Bowl. “This is a testament to  the reputation we have built for the Live United Bowl.”

Each team brings at least 90 players, coaches and managers, and the committee helps in providing hotel accommodations  and meals during their three-day visit. This would not be possible without our founding sponsor, the City of Texarkana,  Arkansas A&P Commission, and our title sponsor Farmers Bank & Trust as well as the City of Texarkana, Texas, for their  continued support.

Teams will arrive late afternoon on Thursday, December 1st at their hotels within the Texarkana Arkansas Crossroads  Business Park. During their visit to Texarkana, teams will participate in local community events on both Thursday and  Friday with football practice on Friday afternoon.

The Jeans, Boots and BBQ Banquet will be held from 6-8pm on Friday, December 2nd at the Texarkana, Texas Convention  Center. Tickets are limited and will be sold online only for $25 per person at www.liveunitedbowl.com. The community  pep rally will follow the banquet at 8pm, also scheduled at the Texarkana, Texas Convention Center. Admission is free.

Tickets will be on sale Monday, November 21st at the Farmers Bank & Trust locations on Ark Blvd and East 9th as well as  any Mil-Way Federal Credit Union location, the Texarkana Chamber of Commerce, or the United Way of Greater Texarkana  office. Tickets are $10-Adults and $4-Students or can be purchased online at www.liveunitedbowl.com. Student tickets  are NOT available online. Student tickets must be purchased at any of the above locations or at the gate.

After more than 40 years with commercial broadcasting, I decided to do my own thing by blogging, and taking "unconsultant" gigs. It affords me the ability to stay super involved in the community, but still, have plenty of time with my 3 granddaughters and other projects.
