Fatal Motorcycle Accident on New Boston Road

TTPD reports that a fatal motorcycle accident has occurred on New Boston Road and taken the life of a local biker, Charles Kissinger, 36, died after colliding with a pick-up truck that had pulled into his path. Our prayers for all involved.

As temperatures warm up more riders will be out on motorcycles and alternative conveyances that will take more effort to be on the lookout for.  Look twice and save a life, is the saying.

    Media Release:

We were dispatched to the 2700 block of New Boston Rd. to a crash involving a pickup truck and a motorcycle.
When we got there, we learned that 36 year old Charles Kissinger had been riding his 2011 Harley Davidson eastbound on New Boston Road, when James Pennington (69 years old) tried to turn left onto New Boston Road from the parking lot beside Whataburger.  However, he pulled out into the path of Kissinger’s motorcycle, and they crashed.
Mr. Kissinger was transported to Wadley Hospital with serious injuries where he later died. Pennington wasn’t hurt.
The accident is still under investigation.

After more than 40 years with commercial broadcasting, I decided to do my own thing by blogging, and taking "unconsultant" gigs. It affords me the ability to stay super involved in the community, but still, have plenty of time with my 3 granddaughters and other projects.
