Texarkana Arkansas Police Officers swiftly responded to an attempted break-in and vandalism incident at Neighborhood Car Wash, located at 1216 East Street, in the early hours of Wednesday, June 5, 2024.
At approximately 1:48 a.m., officers were summoned to the scene where four juvenile suspects were reportedly attempting to break into and vandalize the coin machines at the car wash. Upon arrival, TAPD officers located all four suspects at the scene. However, two of the juveniles attempted to evade capture by fleeing on foot. Despite their efforts, law enforcement later apprehended the fleeing suspects.
During the course of the investigation, officers made a startling discovery. The suspects had abandoned a stolen vehicle, recently reported stolen from Texarkana, Texas, further complicating the situation.
Following their apprehension, all four juveniles were transported to the Bi-State Justice Building, where they awaited transport to a juvenile detention facility in Pine Bluff, AR.
The commendable efforts of TAPD’s Delta Squad led to charges being filed against all four juveniles. They were charged with Theft by Receiving, exceeding $25,000, as well as Loitering, and cited for Curfew Violations.
The Texarkana Arkansas Police Department commended the swift response and actions of their officers in apprehending the suspects and addressing the situation promptly.
