Texarkana folks—if you like crawfish, a little friendly competition, and supporting a good cause, there’s an event coming up you’ll want on your calendar.
The Four States Crawfish Drawdown is set for Thursday, April 30 at 7:00 p.m. inside the Four States Fairgrounds Arena. The event is presented by the Four States Fair & Rodeo Association in partnership with Hot Tails Crawfish.
Tickets are $100, and that admission covers two people—and more importantly, two full crawfish meals. Each meal includes three pounds of crawfish, along with corn, potatoes, dessert, and a drink. Organizers say it’s a great way to enjoy a night out while also giving back to the community.
The “drawdown” portion of the event adds a little excitement to the evening, with attendees getting a chance to win a $5,000 grand prize. For those who like a little extra insurance, a $20 “safety” option is available, giving participants a second chance if their number is drawn.
In addition to the main event, guests can take part in a live auction, silent auction, entertainment, and enjoy a cash bar throughout the evening.
Only 200 tickets will be sold, so organizers encourage anyone interested to grab theirs early through the Four States Fair box office.
All proceeds from the event will go toward supporting the Ag Learning Center, helping provide agricultural education opportunities for the region.
For a night of food, fun, and fundraising—organizers say come hungry and ready to have a good time.
