An evening of fine wine, gourmet food, and smooth jazz awaits as Harvest Regional Food Bank presents its annual Wine & Jazz Gala on Friday, March 21, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at The Silvermoon on Broad.

Presented by the Patterson-Troike Foundation and Robbins Toyota, this elegant fundraising event will feature expertly paired wines alongside gourmet dishes prepared by some of Texarkana’s most beloved restaurants, including Julie’s Deli & Market, Twisted Fork, Naaman’s Championship BBQ, Benchmark, Lagniappe Specialty Meats, and Graham Slam Bakery.

Setting the tone for the evening will be the soulful sounds of Candace Taylor & Trio, providing live jazz throughout the night. Guests can also take part in a premier silent auction, featuring exclusive items and experiences, or try their luck at the Wine Pull, where a $25 donation could land them a bottle of wine valued at over $100.

Tickets for the Wine & Jazz Gala are $100, with reservations encouraged. Tickets can be purchased in advance online at Eventbrite, by calling Harvest Regional Food Bank at 870-774-1398, or by visiting their office at 3120 East 19th Street, Texarkana, AR.

All proceeds from the event will support Harvest Regional Food Bank’s hunger relief programs, which provide food assistance to Bowie County, TX, and nine counties in southwest Arkansas. The Food Bank distributes millions of pounds of food each year through partner organizations, Mobile Pantry distributions, school pantry programs, and senior food assistance programs.

After more than 40 years with commercial broadcasting, I decided to do my own thing by blogging, and taking "unconsultant" gigs. It affords me the ability to stay super involved in the community, but still, have plenty of time with my 3 granddaughters and other projects.
