A documentary from filmmakers Brent and Craig Renaud is set to air on HBO tonight (11/27/2017) that focuses on the extreme devastation that methamphetamine has brought to communities of rural Arkansas and the lives of those that struggle with addictions and extreme poverty.
In a post from wbur.org, there is an interview with the filmmakers about how the drug and poverty really go hand in hand, and just how bad the situation really is. In the interview, they also lay out what they have witnessed over and over again while making the film, and the reasons they believe the scourge has become more and more powerful despite everything authorities do to battle the epidemic.
The documentary will air on HBO Monday, November 27 at 9:00 pm (CST)
