April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month and you can help by participating in the Strike Out Child Abuse Bowl-a-thon April 18 at Holiday Bowl in Texarkana Arkansas.

All of the money raised with this event will go to help local foster children.

Entry fee is only $20 for 4-person teams, AND… it’s requested that you donate a package of diapers, underwear or socks for foster children of any age.

There will be drawings, door prizes and trophies for first, second, and third place finishers. There will also be awards for Best Game and Worst Game.

For more information or to register, contact Teresa Welch at 870.773.0563 or by email at teresa.welch@dhs.arkansas.gov.

After more than 40 years with commercial broadcasting, I decided to do my own thing by blogging, and taking "unconsultant" gigs. It affords me the ability to stay super involved in the community, but still, have plenty of time with my 3 granddaughters and other projects.
