A terribly tragic accident happened on N. Bishop this afternoon around 1:30 p.m. involving a log-hauler that was stopped on the roadway. The semi-truck was struck from behind by a pick-up truck hauling a utility trailer. The driver of the pick-up was pronounced dead at the scene.
Reports are that the semi-truck hauling logs was stopped on the road while the driver asked the nearby business for directions. While parked on the road the semi was struck from behind, killing the driver of a pick-up truck.
The identity and age of the man killed has not yet been released.
The accident occurred on North Bishop between New Boston Road and Westlawn Drive.
