The hype is real! Pop culture fans across the Ark-La-Tex region are gearing up for Hypecon 2025, returning to the Crossties Event Center in downtown Texarkana for a three-day celebration of fandom, creativity, and community from Friday, May 30, through Sunday, June 1.
After a stellar turnout in 2024, organizers are promising an even bigger and more electrifying convention this year. The weekend kicks off with a crowd favorite: “Friday Night Hype & Glory” Wrestling, a free live wrestling event starting at 7 p.m. on May 30—no ticket required, just bring the energy (and lawn chairs)!
Saturday and Sunday bring the main convention experience, featuring a wide range of pop culture attractions. Tickets are $20 per day or $30 for a weekend pass, offering fans access to:
-
Special Guests, including anime legend and voice actor Chuck Huber, known for iconic roles in series like Dragon Ball Z and Fullmetal Alchemist, and Greg Peters, the renowned illustrator behind hits like Animaniacs and Pinky & The Brain.
-
Returning cosplay talents Darlene Taylor and Midnight Chaos, who will showcase their award-winning designs and judge fan-favorite cosplay competitions.
-
Engaging panels covering anime, comics, gaming, and more.
-
Esports tournaments for competitive gamers looking to test their skills.
-
Dozens of vendors offering collectibles, apparel, art, and all things fandom.
“Hypecon has become a cornerstone for the geek community in Texarkana,” said organizers. “It’s not just an event—it’s a celebration of what brings fans together, whether that’s anime, gaming, wrestling, or incredible cosplay.”
Whether you’re a seasoned convention-goer or just looking for a fun weekend out, Hypecon 2025 promises something for everyone. Organizers encourage guests to follow their social media channels for guest updates and full schedules in the coming days.
