I-30 Construction to Close Lanes During Overnight Hours

TxDOT will be working overnight two days next week to hang more beams over Interstate 30 as part of their construction project at the Leary exit (213). First day the westbound lanes will be closed and eastbound the next day.

On Monday, August 1, they will close both of the eastbound lanes at this exit. Traffic will be diverted onto the exit ramp, across FM 2253 and back down the entrance ramp. The work hours will be 6:00 pm thru 6:00 am on Tuesday morning. There is a possibility that they may be able to open up the Interstate earlier if the work goes quicker than expected.

On Tuesday, August 2, they will close the westbound lanes at this same exit and detour traffic across FM 2253 just like they did the night before for westbound traffic.

If your travel plans call for you to be driving through this area during either of the times, you might want to consider an alternate route or allow just a little more time to get wherever you are going.

After more than 40 years with commercial broadcasting, I decided to do my own thing by blogging, and taking "unconsultant" gigs. It affords me the ability to stay super involved in the community, but still, have plenty of time with my 3 granddaughters and other projects.
