The American Heart Association Texarkana Sweethearts are local High School girls that participate in educational programs and social activities while being advocates of the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association in our community. The deadline to join is October 21, 2016.
The Texarkana Sweethearts will be presented and featured at the American Heart Association’s prestigious 2017 Texarkana Heart Ball on February 11, 2017.
Texarkana Sweetheart activities will take place during the 2016 – 2017 school year.
Becoming a Sweetheart is an excellent way for young ladies to build on their volunteer experience, get an introduction to the field of healthcare, and learn how to make a change in the health of our community.
Activities for Texarkana Sweethearts include a Father Daughter BBQ, Mother Daughter Luncheons, CPR Certification, opportunities to teach heart health to area elementary students, and many more fun and exciting experiences.
