This Friday, December 10, and Saturday, December 11 it is live arts with “Friday Night Live” at the 1894 Gallery, and the last “Second Saturday Trade Day” downtown for 2021, and a great opportunity to meet some of our local crafters and vendors.
Thru Christmas, the 1894 Gallery features an extensive collection of “Nutcrackers”. From the traditional wooden soldiers that many think of to Santa. These are all vintage nutcrackers, very unique and most are available to purchase, along with many other Christmas-themed works of art.
Friday Night Live at the Gallery has featured many of our local artists creating their works for all to watch, ask questions about, and learn from. Painting, sculpting, music, and more have been featured this last year. This will only grow in 2022 with local support, and with more and more activities and events downtown, it’s just something else to get excited about for next year.
Local hand-made leather goods, woodcrafts, furniture, art, jewelry, and more have been sold this year at Second Saturday Trade Days. Local vendors will be on Olive Street in front of the Gallery on Saturday from 9 am to 4 pm. There is room for more, so for the shopping rush, the 1894 Gallery is inviting all to “pop up” at this last event of the year. We spoke to Ms. Georgia, Ms. Debbie, Ms. Kathy… a lot of folks…
